The system will not install a package if it's already there. How can this be a waste of time and keypresses? Surely it's quicker to do

yum install plymouth

and select 'y' when prompted than to get a list of the packages that the yum command would install, then install them all manually one by one.

If you want to see which packages will be installed by the operation, just do the yum install [package] and read down the output list for what changes are about to be applied before you confirm the install.
