How do I set the network adapter of yum/dnf

I'm currently connected to two networks one I have I want to use for updates and the other I would like to use for services such as apache or nginx which I can figure out, I can't quite find anywhere an answer to using a specific network adapter for yum/dnf.

Can you explain in a little more detail why you want to do this? Are your different adapters connected to different networks?

This has nothing to do with yum/dnf. You must set up your routing table, ip forwarding and/or whatever is needed for your actual network configuration to work. So please provide more information, networking is splitted in many layers, applications don't and mustn't care about the underlying settings.

if you have an adapter that you want to use just for Yum, your only option would be to take the interface of the other adapter down, while you do your yum/dnf. You could make a script, to take the net interface down, do the update, and then reactivate the net interface.
