which version of fedora is suitable for my pc based on pentium4

I downloaded Fedora-xx-x86_64-Live-Desktop.iso file.is it suitable for my pentium(R)4 cpu 2.40GHz and 1 GB of RAM ?

your processor is a 32-bit see intel specification page :

Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 2.40 GHz, 1M Cache, 533 MHz FSB

Instruction Set         32-bit

so download FEDORA for 32 bits...

I would suggest a lightweight DE such as XFCE or LXDE, since the default desktop livecd runs GNOME which is slightly heavier on resources.

hello. by the type of pc, you should take down the 32-bit edition. and it is recommended to use a distro that does not ask much processing power on your desktop. recommended serious use fedora with LXDE desktop, as this distribution is lighter in use Here the link
