Fedora 25 Boots to a Black Screen with a Cursor after Install

I am a fairly complete noob with Fedora. I'm using a spare computer and I can boot to a live DVD. I tried running the install to HDD and I did not receive any errors, however when I boot the machine after I get past the Splash screen i get a completely black screen with a cursor in the top left. Nothing happens it just sits there. No error's, no input from the keyboard or mouse. I'm rather lost.

I'll add in that I am trying to install this over a system that had Windows 10 installed on it and has a UEFI BIOS that I am currently running in Legacy mode. When using the Install to HDD on the live boot DVD all I did was follow the prompts and "reclaim" the space on my HDD. The HDD is also a 520GB Hybrid drive.

Thank you for your assistance.

If it is an nvidia video card, you need to hit E when grub menu comes up, put nomodeset on the linux command line, after quiet and do Ctrl-X to boot. If it comes up, then you need to install a proper nvidia driver. You can choose to do rpms, or proprietary. I run the proprietary, with dkms enabled. Respond here, if you need step by step, and I will be glad to help.
