Hello everyone. as the title sais i'd like to buy myself a new laptop and i'd like to be compataible with fedora. I have 2 laptops on my list : hp probook 440 g3 specs hp elitebook 8460p specs

I don't know why but i personally prefer the last one even though the specs are not that great. Anyway, can someone recommend me other laptops that you know are compatible with feodra ? I'm not stuck with those 2. I am open to any brand unless it's over my budget. Thank you and have a great day.

I love system76.com laptops they come with Ubuntu, but they work really good with Fedora.

Fedora runs on pretty much any home end-user machine. The things you may want to keep an eye on are the graphics adapter (nvidia can cause extra work, Intel HD Graphics as in many Intel based laptops works just fine), and the wireless adapter (many chipset work just out of the box but broadcom and some others may require some driver work). If you want to use Fedora with Gnome (workstation edition), you should have at least 4 GB RAM, better 8.

Fedora is doing great on my HP Probook 450 G3. Although I realize this is not an exact answer to your question, I would hazard a guess that it would work on your PC, too.
