Unable to install android studio in fedora 26

Startup Error: Unable to detect graphics environment

Just guessing, try it on Gnome on Xorg.

yes installation begins but with some warning

now stuck with screen message " we have detected that your system can run the android emulator in an perfomance mode. Linux-based systems support virtual machine acceleration through the KVM. Search for intall information for particular linux configuration that KVM is enabled for faster android emulator. "

what to do next?

When I tried it recently, Android Studio worked just fine in F26 Gnome when I run it as my normal user. I would strongly recommend *against *running it as root in any case.
