Hi All,

FC26, x64 Xfce 4.12

After installing my updates (dnf upgrade), I can no longer log in with ssh or xrdp, but the firewall is working as I can log into other machines that port forward through the firewall.

Would do I troubleshoot this?

Many thanks, -T

You want to connect using SSH "from" F26, or "to" F26? Please run the same ssh command with -vvv and give the output.

SL 7.3 (client) --> fc26 (host) When I got to the customer's site, I could not use the keyboard. The dialogue for unlocking xscreensaver was missing the line for the password. <ctr><alt><f2> did active a new screen, which was weird as no terminal would take letters. But f2 would not give me a log in prompt. But I was a lot of journal input/output errors.

The one fingered reboot did not work. I had to pull the power plug, let it sit, then reboot it. I reran updates. It broke xrdp

I love the "-vvv" command. curl has it too and love the info I get from it!

Thank you for help!

Hi All,

I fix this with

# dnf downgrade xrdp xorgxrdp

    Good rpms:
        xrdp-0.9.2-12.fc26.x86_64
        xorgxrdp-0.2.2-1.fc26.x86_64

    Bad rpms:
        xrdp-1:0.9.2-12.fc26.x86_64
        xorgxrdp-0.2.3-1.fc26.x86_64

And I added xrdp and xorgrdp into my dnf excluded

Maybe it'd be great if you report it as a bug!

They know about it.

Thanks, that's great :). But it'd be probably great if you also create a bug in Fedora bugzilla, so that they'll also fix their packages. Also, you can mark your answer as accepted!

They have to fix it upstream first, but I will report it anyway: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.... Red Hat has been CRABBY with me lately for reporting so many bugs.

Thanks! But hey, there are many Fedora contributors which are not RedHat employees, so it is not fair to call everything RedHat! If you want RedHat, you should go for CentOS/RHEL! ;)
