contribute edited spec file

asked 2017-10-19 07:21:35 -0500

Hi Guys, I've noticed that this package https://ftp.fau.de/epel/7/SRPMS/m/mon... is outdated. Latest binary from that project is 5.24.0 Now I might be able to edit the SPEC file and compile it myself but how do I contribute that file to the project back?

Thanks in advance

Erik

The latest spec file for fedora and EPEL is available from this repository

git clone https://src.fedoraproject.org/git/rpms/monit.git

Upstream source is here

git clone https://bitbucket.org/tildeslash/monit.git

You can become a maintainer that way you can apply here then you could request to co maintain specific package.

Or if it is just a one-time contribution, I guess you can create a (remote) pull request against the repository at https://src.fedoraproject.org since it is using Pagure now.
