I cannot mount samba shares anymore in fedora 26 with the new 4.13.x kernel [closed]

with kernel 4.13.5-200.fc26.x8664 or 4.13.4-200.fc26.x8664 I cannot mount samba shares, I get mount error(112) after about 20 minutes see: [nino@virtfedora ~]$ time sudo mount //PMR/PMR mnt -o rw,uid=nino,gid=users,user=Administrator [sudo] password di nino: Password for Administrator@//PMR/PMR: * mount error(112): Host is down Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)

real 22m25,720s user 0m0,026s sys 0m0,023s

Everything works fine when booting with previous kernel 4.12.14-300.fc26.x86_64.

It's said or it happens that the new kernel update defaults now to a new version of SMB so to sort this issue out just add the vers=1.0 option to your mount command. Here an example:

# mount -t cifs // /mnt/share/ -o username=user,uid=value,rw,sec=ntlm,vers=1.0

Thank you very much, stupid I was trying vers=2.1 and vers=3.0 and forgot to test 1.0 too
