I was using an old modem with LAN connection. Now i Recently switched to the optic fibre network with optic fibre modem connected by LAN cable. But it never connect automatically. Then I just anyhow figured that when I put lan cable in old model then it connects automatically and immediately I plug out the cable and when I insert it in optical modem it still in connected mode. I tried to configure DSL with my user name and password provided by ISP but nothing worked for me. Kindly help me out I will be thankful to you.

Welcome to ask.fedora. Configuring your connection is dependent both on what model of modem you're using and what your ISP needs, and it has nothing to do with what OS your computer runs. (All of the configuration is stored in the modem, not your computer.) Please call your ISP's tech support and have them walk you through this because this is their job, not ours. Good luck, and don't hesitate to ask again if you have any Fedora-related issues.
