The blank screen recording problem on Gnome Wayland

I am unable to record screen on Gnome (Fedora 26). My system specs:
Acer Aspire E5-17 Core i5-6200u RAM‌: 8 GB No dedicated GPU

I have tried SimpleScreenRecorder, VokoScreen, and VLC Media Player. All record blank screen with voice. The Gnome extension, EasyScreenCast , works though, which adds a record icon on top of the screen where you can manage it. The downside to using it, however, is that it has limited options and you do not seem to be able to set recording parameters like frame rate, bit rate, etc. Does anyone know what the blank recording is caused by on Fedora 26 Workstation?

You could use Green Recorder, it works on wayland. but it is not included on Fedora yeat.

As you've noted in the subject of the question, it is likely incompatibility of those programs with Wayland. I guess switching to Xorg and using those programs works just fine?

If this is the case, unfortunately there's nothing much to do unless developers of those programs update their applications to support Wayland.

Thanks. You mean most programs are based on Xorg?

Depends on the application I guess. I would imagine all of the GNOME apps are fully compatible with Wayland, while other may still not be.
