Is Install pending software update not working?

I have checked Install pending software update and restarted. I cloud see install update % sign so I think it work. But in shutdown menu, I saw the Install pending software update check box again. I retry some times but it still exist there. What happen?

Looks like the update from Gnome Software (that is what's showing you the graphical option to install updates) is it not working.

I'd recommend you to Initiate an update using dnf. From a terminal run:

sudo dnf upgrade

In addition, you can force Gnome Software to refresh its package metadata cache: sudo pkcon refresh force.
