In Fedora 25 i used the IcedTeaPlugin.so in the 52 FF ESR Browser to use a java remote console for HP ilo. As rpm -ql icedtea-web-1.7-5.fc27 shows there is no more the .so file.

How can i still use java plugin in the ESR FF?

Thanks for any hints!

What we do to avoid any mixed up firefox versions and/or libraries on our productive fedora workstations (including many hours to fix broken things, just to enable some outdated plugins for managing Dell iDRAC, HP iLO, IPMI, oVirt Spice etc.) is to install a small VM with CentOS 6 32-bit and GNOME. There, Firefox is old enough. Such a VM is fast to set up, works and keeps your machine clean.

According to the changelog for the F27 package:

- removed nati[v]e plugin, no longer can build (removed xullruner and gecko devel packages)

You can install the one from F26, it works: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/b...
