Anyone successful with this. I tried to enable in dconf org.gnome.desktop.remote-access but there is no 'enabled' selection. Also there is no "Desktop Sharing" icon in the settings menu.

I know how to set up a vnc server but I would really like to get the native stuff working.

I didn't know this feature existed until now, thank you!

This works for me from Fedora 26 to 27 and vice versa:

Decide which computer should be the host, on this computer go to Settings -> Sharing -> Screen Sharing and switch it to "ON". For me there is only one Network listed on the bottom of the Screen Sharing window and this network is automatically switched to ON.

On the client computer start "Remote Desktop Viewer" and connect using the VNC-protocol and the IP address of your host computer. (Assuming you are on the same local network.)

I am not sure where you got stuck but I hope this helps anyway!

You are probably using the default desktop environment. I am using Cinnamon and the setting is not available. I can not figure out how to launch that dialog from the command line, or how to access it correctly via dconf. I am glad you were able to get it working though.

You didn't mention the Cinnamon Desktop in your question so I assumed you are using the standard (Gnome) desktop, sorry. I believe the functionality is part of the "vino" package which is "is a VNC server for GNOME. It allows remote users connect to a running GNOME session using VNC." (Source: dnf info vino) I guess this means it won't work with Cinnamon.
