I suspect my computer has a memory issues (I cannot change the memory because it is soldered) because it hangs randomly every few hours. I want to test the memory, and installed memtest+86 for that.

Now I get this error:

$ memtest-setup
ERROR: memtest86+ does not support EFI platforms.

What other options do I have to test memory? Is there a way to make memtest+86 work?

Create a bootable usb memory stick with software from https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm

Use the smallest usb stick you can find, as old contents will be lost.

Also see this youtube video.

Google has further suggestions if you search for memtest uefi.
