My speakers (headphones) pop out before sound

Hello fans,

please, I migrated from Ubuntu to Fedora and I'm much much happier linux user then before. But acutally I have one problem please.

Sound in fedora works great. But before my speakers play some sound, my speakers pops before it (short pop... like damaged electronic). It's a not HW problem because Ubuntu or Windows (just for some games, really, I didn't boot into it over 1 month, YAY!) I don't have this problem.

I think, that it looks like some power saving management. I means that fedora turns off my speakers if they are not active.

Of course, using pulseaudio and alsa libs (by my alsamixer output)

Any tips please? Thanks for any advice

PS: Of course, I'm using fedora 28

You may want to disable the audio related power save option.
To achieve it, please execute sudo nano /etc/default/grub.

Add snd_hda_intel.power_save=0
to this line ->GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX.

Press Ctrl + X and then Y and Enter to save the changed file.
Update GRUB configuration - Legacy BIOS or UEFI BIOS ->

sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/fedora/grub.cfg

Reboot ... now the sound experience should be as expected.

You're welcome, I'm glad that it solved your problem @friskyfox :) Well, I thought it's a known fact that the GRUB configuration has to be updated, but you're right - new users might not know it. Hence I updated the answer to include it.
