In fedora 28: Linux localhost.localdomain 4.17.3-200.fc28.x8664 #1 SMP Tue Jun 26 14:17:07 UTC 2018 x8664 x8664 x8664 GNU/Linux

It is quite strange, but when Firefox or QGit are running, trying to open a file in Vimpal just opens gvim with a new file (No Name), and after a little bit, Vimpal shows an error popup with the text:

Cannot execute VIM command. Please check your preferences and set the correct path to VIM executable.

It definitely runs gvim, as I can do from an xterm as well, so this is a weird interaction.

If none Firefox or QGit are running, then it works just fine.

Seems that vim 2.1.209 fixed this somehow...
