I have an installation of Fedora 28 in UEFI mode. I would like to install Windows 10 alongside it on a free partition that I have. Problem is it seems like I cannot boot my installation Disk in UEFI mode. the Option simply doesn't exist in BIOS when I try to boot. Is this issue related to fedora? is it at all possible to install Windows while keeping my Fedora installation?

P.S. I have a working installation disk.

It sounds like a WIndows question.

Windows is always greedy. I would recommend backing up your /home and partitions you want to keep on some sort of external drive, then wiping the whole disk. Install Windows (chances are that it'll overwrite the partition table and assign all the disk space to its own installation), then resize partitions to install Fedora. That'll work a lot nicer (even if it may take longer/seem annoying).

Good luck!

Are you sure the installation media is setup for UEFI? Check if there is an EFI directory at the root of it.

Make sure you have a full backup of your Fedora system. Depending on the install media, Windows has a tendency to take over the entire disk.

I Used the media for another UEFI computer and therefore I am confident it supports UEFI. (and yes it has a UEFI directory)

And thanks for the advice
