Fresh install (1st time ever.....new to fedora). Install seemed to go ok but no wifi found. I believe I have to be in fedora 28 to actually do the downloads...….I cant access the internet without wifi.

https://pkgs.org/download/broadcom-wl Download the driver from another machine; place on USB drive. Double clicking the .rpm file in gnome should open it's Software Center and have an install option.

Paste into terminal. This will not only install the repository (rpmfusion) that has your bc drivers; but also will install Fedy which will give you access to a plethora of one-click-installers for tons of apps/themes/tweak/utilities that are otherwise sometimes hard to install for new users.

Once the RPMFusion repos are added you can just search for "broadcom" in the Gnome Software Center and then click to install it's driver package.

Have a nice day, and welcome to Fedora.
