ctrl+shift / alt+shift for changing keyboard layout

asked 2018-09-12 06:05:11 -0500

I understand that Fedora is not an exclusion for this problem: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug...

but how to apply this patch in Fedora ? https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xo...

I generally just press CTRL+SHIFT once, release SHIFT, then press SHIFT again and press whatever key I need for the shortcut. I've never thought of this behavior as a bug. Might be easier than applying a patch designed for Arch.

I'm using this patch on Ubuntu and it just works. So, users of Mint, Ubuntu, Ubuntu derivatives, Arch, Manjaro enjoy this patch... Whats wrong with the most popular rpm-based distro ?

If Fedora developers think that they are beyond the user-friendly world, could they just advice how to compile, assemble and substitute this package?

it's like writing with your left hand if you're right-handed.
