Hello, I just installed Fedora 28 on my computer. The first time I installed it I was able to launch it and everything was working fine. But now after I log in, the screen stays gray (with the cursor), and I can't do anything.

After searching on the internet it said this issue is caused by the graphic card (I have an nVidia too), and that I had to add 'nouveau.modeset=0' while booting it. The problem is that it doesn't solve the problem at all. Can someone help me please?

On the login screen, can you please select the "other" GNOME session, e.g. "GNOME on Xorg"? Does that work around the issue? If yes, something is wrong with your GPU driver, probably caused by nvidia.

Thanks for your answer, I actually managed to correct the problem, I had to activate xcfe with the terminal to correct the problem! My graphic card is actually fine, it was the xcfe that wasn't launched on boot.
