Hello,

I recently done the updates on my thinkpad and since the update the mouse/touchpad no longer works. The new kernel in the update is 4.18.9-200.fc28.x86_64. In order to get a working mouse/touchpad I have to choos Kernel 4.17 on booutup.

Any assistance on how I can resolve this please?

There is a new 4.18-10 kernel in upgrades. Have you checked bugzilla for similar probles? If not file a report yourself.

What’s your Thinkpad model?

Please check this Q/A.

Your model , check in your BIOS setting for touchpad option by changing its values ( if available ) , check by pressing touchpad lock bottom available in keyboard , check whether system detects your touch-pad devices / hardware , check the required module is loaded the correct one etc ..

for more detailed explanation please check the thread available in Lenevo Support portal or Lenevo forum

good luck

This problem should be fixed with the next kernel update that Fedora releases, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.....

If you can't wait, go for this os: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/t...
