I have a pci wifi, a usb wifi and a built-in ethernet on my pc. They all stoped connecting and give error Activation of Network Failed. I don't expect it to be a hardware issue.

I tried:

ip link set LINKNAME up

But that did not help, as when I check "ip link" the LINKNAME status is DOWN.

Here is journalctl output after trying to activate the Ethernet (just 46 lines): another link:

What is the problem? Also the pc hangs for a few seconds and cpu usage increases after trying to connect and before giving the error.

IPv4 and IPv6 both set to automatic.

This is a long shot, but ... is your etc/resolv.conf locked? This happened to me a while back, I had to sudo rm the file (it was regenerated on reboot). If you've changed network settings from defaults and/or running a server, this may be a bad idea. I'm just using Fedora for a desktop.

The file /etc/resolv.conf does not seem to be locked. I renamed it and restarted but NetworkManager did not generate a new reslov.conf file.

I'd also remove your WiFi's and see if you can get up and running with just your Ethernet. If that works, you can add the Wifi (usb and pci) one at a time.
