hello everybody i have a problem in log in to root in fedora 28

i installed fedora 28 on vmware 14 and i created user ahmed but i can not create password to root and i can not log in to root i tried the user password to log in to root but i failed how i can now the root password or reset it and log in to it

Take a look at the Fedora changes documentation at:

The tldr version is that the initial user can be considered an admin account since it is in the Wheel group and has access to sudo for root privileges. Check the sections User Account and Root Account of the changes document.

You can also use sudo su - with the user password to access the root account.

sudo -i

brings up a root shell. Then run

passwd

to define root’s password

Use sudo su and then set root password as passwd.
