Slow Internet speed after migrating from Windows 10 to Fedora 28
Hey Guys,
I recently migrated from Windows 10 to Fedora 28 Workstation. Post migration, I have been noticing slow internet speed on my PC. With Windows 10, I was able to get a download speed of 1MBps+. Now it doesn't go beyond 200 kbps.
I have disabled the firewall, yet the issue remains the same. I ran a speed test at http://www.speedtest.net and it shows me a download speed of 1.5 mbps and an upload speed of 1 mbps.
What could be the problem? Please help
Thanks Rajiv
Hi Rajiv, it's definitely not a firewall issue, re-enable it. It's more likely something related to network card driver, edit you question and add to it output of
inxi -SNxxxz
.You say your download speed is normally +1 Mbit/s. The speedtest.net test, was that from Windows or Fedora? If it was from Fedora, then there are no issues.
