Hi, I have recently upgraded to Fedora 29. Before upgrading TOR browser was running just fine in Fedora 28 directly by double-clicking "start-tor-browser.desktop" in nautilus. But now, I click the same icon and nothing happens.

I do not want to use command line. I would like to do it how I have always been doing it. If it doesn't work, I'll get rid of Fedora (Fedora/Gnome seems to be going the Apple way, deciding on what users can or cannot do).

How can I run it like how I have always been running it.

Please help

Thanks

No one is deciding what you can or cannot do. It sounds like there's a bug. You shouldn't need to go to the command line permanently, but you might need to to do some debugging. Are you okay with that?

How did you install the tor browser in the first place?

What is the returned message when starting tor from a terminal? How did you install it?

The problem is likely rooted in that .desktop file. See if the path and the command there match the command you use when starting it from command line.
