Iran the dnf upgrade offered on my screen. I now get fedora 29 to start but has three processes in top running at 100 percent. The prcesses are owned by root and sudo kill will not stop them. My computer locks up presumably because the processer overheats.

I have tried multiple times to upgrade to Fedora 29, the first time with the "Software Upgrade link" the main graphic window. Complete failure of the install resulted in a new install of fedora 28 so that /i could use my computer again. Tried a new install using the downloaded iso, again, same failure, computer lockup. After receiving a message from the bug reporting team, I downloaded a fresh copy of Fedora 29 and attempted to do a fresh install on my desktop which is similar in hardware to my laptop. The installation works but perl modules are not working.

Attempting to file a bug report on the first attempt generated a 1.3GB back trace file which was unusable.
