Recently Chrome stopped working. When running from the terminal:

$ google-chrome

Inconsistency detected by ld.so: ../sysdeps/x86_64/dl-machine.h: 540: elf_machine_rela_relative: Assertion `ELFW(R_TYPE) (reloc->r_info) == R_X86_64_RELATIVE' failed! Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

Has anyone else come across this issue and have a resolution?

running fedora 28 cinnamon spin

You can use "chromium-freeworld" available in UnitedRPMs... It works for me... I do not see differences with chrome.

dnf -y install chromium-freeworld
