Hi,

I am using Fedora 29, and I am currious if it is possible to run dnf upgrade, skipping kernel upgrades?

I would like to do kernel update/upgrade from time to time, lets say every 3-4 weeks.

Thanks.

You should check to make sure the updates you’re skipping don’t include any security updates before you delay them.

Either give

sudo dnf upgrade --exclude=kernel*

or exclude packages inside /etc/dnf/dnf.conf with

exclude=kernel*

Awesome. Thank you. I'll create an alias for the command. There is no reason to change the conf file.
