When switching to X11, the cursor shows up but not under Wayland. Is there a fix for this in Fedora or is this a Wayland/GNOME bug?

Perhaps it could be a bug as you say. Check it out at bugzilla, in case file this bug.

Yup, here's the bug right here: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-...

Apparently it was opened a month ago with no reply from the maintainers. The no cursor bug is not really a big deal since the cursor will show up after you install the OS in Boxes.

I would suggest using virtual machine manager instead. It is not easy to use as boxes, but gives you full control over the virtual machine.

I've used Virtual Box before but when it comes to Fedora, I'd like to use as low packages as I could.

Virtual Machine Manager is not the same as Virtualbox. Package name is virt-manager.

I haven't used virt-manager, only virtual box.
