Hi,

getting bored of this. Fedora is breaking through updates very often. Perhaps it's the wrong distro for me.

KDE is not able to start after a dnf upgrade.

Starting plasmashell manually throws this before crashing:

bash-4.4$ kstart plasmashell

I rather not do that. I am using nvidia drivers and this reinstalls plenty of things I don't need. Also, startkde won't work because my kde already started. It's just broken, no start menu, no wallpaper

Fixed. Had to remove cups library. Weird bad stuff. Probably this one (libkcups.so core dump) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=...

Need to check if I can install cups again. I need to use my printer after all..

UPDATE: Reinstall cups fixes it. It had nothing to do with any recent upgrade. Just a very nasty old kde bug that triggered now.

To rollback an upgrade use

sudo dnf downgrade packagename.rpm

provided that is the problem. Probably are your home settings, your prompt is wrong as well. Create a brand new user and try that first.
