Do not install fedy it is more likely to damage your system that to accomplish any good. Why you need it?

Also most (if not all) of what it claims to do can be done with several (well, maybe more than just a few) clicks from Software application without having to compile anything and with much lesser chance to mess up you system.

I think that Fedy is not the best way to install software, but I know that is the easy one for some kind of users. On Fedora 29 you need GJS to acomplish that. You need install gjs and gjs-devel and test again with fedy. Good luck.
