Sound works from the laptop speakers, but plugging something into the headphones jack does nothing, even the output of hdajacksensetest -a does not change when plugging/unplugging. Jack works on windows, changing the output on cable plug. Spend quite a lot of time without luck. Follows the alsa debug result. Any help appreciated.

Your hardware looks normal. You need to install related programs for use with audio related libraries.

 snd_hda_codec_hdmi hdaudioC0D2: Unable to sync register 0x2f0d00. -5

You can select pulseaudio and alsa, and install the program and library.

 # dnf groupupdate Multimedia
 # dnf install libasound* portaudio* alsa*
 # dnf install phonon-qt5*

I would like to check if the audio is set correctly in the audio during setup. It would also be nice to install gstreamer for audio and video support.
