I've installed Fedora29 workstation. It crashes frequently, usually within the first five minutes of operation. I'm sure it a problem with my video card. I am using a Gigabyte AMD RX550. I installed xorg-x11-drv-amdgpu - this made a small difference but did not solve the problem. I edited grub so that radeon=0 and amdgpu=1. Now I am trying to install the amdgpu-pro driver from AMD's website. I get errors the following errors when I run amdgpu-install (amdgpu-pro: -18.50-708488-rhel-7.6):

No match for argument: amdgpu-dkms

No match for argument: amdgpu

Error: Unable to find a match

Is there a way to install the driver?

I was not able to get anything to work. I'm going to wait a few months and try again - hoping issues will be resolved by then.
