Hi,

i installed fedora 29 on my new laptop, the live system was working without any troubles, but after the installation I get to the login screen, and as soon as I login (no matter if wayland oder X) I get a grey screen and it freezes, or nothing happens but I can still use the mouse.

I tried to start in the terminal, using strg Atl f2 at the login screen, but that just froze my screen immediatly. The mouse too. Same in the recovery mode.. It's a Dell G5 (had allready some problems getting fedora to see the ssd) with a nvidia gtx 1050 ti and a i7 gen8 with the intel UHD630

For Fedora the 630 would be enough (i need the Nvidia with Windows) so is there a way to just blacklist the GTX without a need to start linux (cause i can't..) or is there any other way to install or at least update the system?

Have you considered installing the Nvidia proprietary driver to see if the problem goes away?
