Today I ran Fedora system update (I have Fedora 29, this update wasnt from 28, just a regular update). After that, each time I start or restart my notebook, new folder with invalid encoding appears in my home directory. Is there something I can do with that?

Hi! It happened to me too! Not sure why. To fix it, what I did is check /etc/xdg/autostart folder. A new file apparently created same day than update called :

org.freedesktop.problems.applet.desktop

I deleted it and my issue is gone. Had to be creative in order to delete those folders though, since they didn't have properly encoded characters such as ????

Hi, I looked there, and I have that file too (it's a link to other file), but it was created before this update (I think the date is the date I upgraded to Fedora 29, BUT I wasn't having this issue since than, it started from todays update..)

Bug is here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug....

Copy-past the name is displayed by the ls command.

$ ls -rt
'`'$'\324''t'$'\001''RV'
$ rmdir '`'$'\324''t'$'\001''RV'
