Please organize your questions. It's too complicated. did you install maraidb or mysql? If you proceeded with the installation, please let me know if you set a password? I will add the answer if the questioner tells me the status.

The mysql-community-server is downloaded and installed from the address, and it is explained based on mariadb for understanding.

 https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/

Causes vary, and you need to check to see if it is one of the causes.

A. In the case of a remote server, this can happen if the server is not booting up or the db can not be accessed remotely. It is necessary to check whether the server has booted properly and whether the local server is connected to the server.

B. If the DB on the server is corrupted and the db does not operate normally, it may need to be initialized or reinstalled.

C. If db is not installed or does not work properly and needs to be initialized

This setting must be run as root. To use mariadb: If it is not installed, proceed after installation.

 [root@masi simmon]# systemctl enable mariadb
 [root@masi simmon]# systemctl start mariadb

Initialize the db settings so that they can be used.

 [root@masi simmon]# mysql_secure_installation

D. If it is difficult to connect due to a password problem, initialize the settings or stop the db and initialize the password in mysqld_safe mode.

Check the db status.

 [root@masi simmon]# systemctl status|grep mariadb
            │ │ └─14971 grep --color=auto mariadb
              ├─mariadb.service

E. The simple use of db locally does not require a firewall configuration, but you need to configure it to allow external access and remote access.

In addition, external access in the DB requires additional settings.
