Fresh install of Fedora-server-netinst-x86_64-29-1.2.iso, On old dual core dell optiplex 745. I was able to boot latest ubuntu server on same machine yesterday. I tried LVM, And traditional partitioning three times and I get the same (grub>) prompt. Spent enough hours on this and cannot figure it out. Some help please!

Same identical situation happened to me yesterday. Same iso (which I did verified for integrity via checksum). Apparently, there's a bug in the server netinstall iso which causes grub to not be installed properly, at least on certain hardware. I didn't bother do dig deep because I was in a hurry, so I grabbed the MATE-Compiz iso and I installed Fedora from there. Everything worked ok.

Thank your for your comment "vmercuri" . Effectively the dvd server image worked fine. Like you said there must be a bug in the server netinstall image. I guess this question can be marked as solved.
