Hi !

I've just installed VirtualBox 6.0 in Fedora 29.
My problem is with VirtualBox GuestAdditions I guess.
When I launch a distro in VirtualBox, it doesn't automatically adjust window size and doesn't take all the space of the screen (I mean I want all the screen from my desktop used minus panel bar) like it did with Fedora 28 and VirtualBox 5.2.
I tried on a Windows machine with VirtualBox 6.0 and Guest Additions 6.0 but same problem.
Am I missing anything ?

Thanks.

You are supposed to install the Guest Addition on the guest OS. Once your insert the virtual cdrom containing the software, there's an executable you need to run, provided that you have already installed the kernel headers and the essential tools for building C programs on the guest.

Since Fedora 28, VirtualBox Guestadditions are already installed by default.

Sorry for the duplicated comment above, not sure how that happened. The thing is, you need to differentiate between the guest and the host operating system. Fedora has the Guest Additions installed, but you are using it as your host, that means you have installed VirtualBox on Fedora and you are running other systems on top of it. You need to install the Guest Additions on those systems.

I had the same problem. I tried to install Fedora 29 in virtualbox, over Fedora 29 as host. It didn't work for me, I reinstalled guestaddition manually.
