Hello friends,

For the past few days I had been trying very hard to get my grub run at resolution of 1920x1080 but nothing would seem to work. Even commands like videoinfo and vbeinfo weren't working in grub command line. It was then that I realized that for some unknown reason, I had the minimal bash installed for me which only supports text and some basic commands (minimal bash line grub).

I would like to fix it but I can't seem to find a method that works for "my system". I have Fedora 29 installed with LVM type partition and I am dual booting alongside Windows 10. Both are running in EFI mode and here is my sda info...

NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT

sda 8:0 0 931.5G 0 disk

├─sda1 8:1 0 499M 0 part

├─sda2 8:2 0 99M 0 part /boot/efi

├─sda3 8:3 0 16M 0 part

├─sda4 8:4 0 300G 0 part

├─sda5 8:5 0 470G 0 part

└─sda6 8:6 0 160.9G 0 part

  ├─fedora-root 253:0 0 70G 0 lvm /

  ├─fedora-swap 253:1 0 7.9G 0 lvm [SWAP]

  └─fedora-home 253:2 0 83.1G 0 lvm /home

sr0 11:0 1 1024M 0 rom

I tried the chroot method but I can't seem to make it work. Can any of you please tell me exactly which steps do I need to follow to make it work? Please mention all steps clearly as I am still learning the Linux ecosystem.

Thanking you all in anticipation.
