IntelliJ Fedora 29 Issues

I successfully completed installation of IntelliJ Idea on Fedora 29 and everything unpacked completely. I also downloaded the JDK and set the paths for both. I verified the jdk using java --version. When I try to run IntelliJ using idea.sh, nothing happens; no error message, no brief startup, nothing. I have spent an entire day downloading and installing everything twice again and troubleshooting but no success.

Thanks for the support. I finally figured it out. I was trying to initialize the program from the /opt/ directory instead of bin. Working now. Much appreciation.

Hmm... Last night I upgraded from Fedora 22 to 29. When I finished with things, I downloaded Intellij Idea Community ver then unpacked it into /opt/ and ran the script from a terminal. It worked like a charm. I hope you get this sorted. Good luck. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
