Howto Rescue a Fedora System?

Sometimes for one or other reason we get in trouble an the unique solution is rescue a fedora system with the DVD.

some Reason :

  • your terminal doesn't work.
  • rescue GRUB2.
  • your system hangs for some reason.
  • you install some package and make your system unusable.
  • you don't have access to GUI system (graphics drivers problem).

How to do that?

  1. Insert your Fedora DVD and restart with it then select Troubleshooting:
  2. Select Rescue a Fedora system
  3. click Continue
  4. your system has been mounted in /chroot/sysimage click OK :
  5. system mounted satisfactory click OK:
  6. Select start shell terminal to access the command line click OK:
  7. and finally access your system with type in terminal chroot /mnt/sysimage/

NOW YOU ARE IN YOUR SYSTEM.
