Hi, so I have recently installed Fedora 19 on my HP Envy touchsmart Laptop. Extremely satisfied and was curious i anyone would recommend any tweaks, extras, add-ons, common bug fixes, ect. for me? Anything to improve overall stability and performance. Thanks P.S anything with an east to us GUI would be nice. :)

The unofficial Fedora Forum at http://fedoraforum.org has a number of setup guides at http://www.fedoraforum.org/?view=fedora_setup If you need something that's not there, or one of them doesn't work for you, you can get more help either here or there as you prefer.

There is a page on the fedoraproject wiki were Fedora 19 known issues are listed.

As a laptop user, you should be aware of this bug that has been reported on bugzilla (bug 975592).

Very often, the file manager (called Files or Nautilus) will start to consume all the ressources. It can make your laptop very hot, noisy and slow. In this case, you can use the System Monitor to kill it.

This is for me the most annoying issue of Fedora 19 (and Fedora 20 alpha). Beginners might not even realize that there is an issue and would blame the system.

For customization, install gnome-tweak-tool and check the GNOME Shell extensions website. If you prefer something more traditional than GNOME Shell’s default interface, try gnome-classic-session, Cinnamon and/or MATE, or Xfce for something more lightweight—there are dozens of desktop options available.

For much nicer font rendering, try Infinality.

For codecs, drivers etc. which aren’t in the official Fedora package repositories, use RPM Fusion and see the Forum and guides which @sideburns already mentioned.
