How does the the opening and mounting of a partition refer to uploading photos to Facebook? You have probably no access rights to the folder where I suppose the photos are? Please enhance your question.

Before you open the destination folder (that contains the photos) from facebook, leave the destination folder opened in another window! Please give us the line that mounts the partition without password from /etc/fstab
