I use Fedora 21 (64 bit) and Firefox 33.1.

About Java, I ran the following command.

su -c "yum install icedtea-web"

When I run NETLAB+ on Firefox, I run "Test Java" first.

I am told that I have the recommended Java 8 update 25.

Next I run "Romote Access Test" on NETLAB+, it fails.

What to do?

I am new to Fedora.

I am looking for any help I can get.

Should I download a different browser?

Which browser works with Java?

Should I download an older version of Fedora?

Should I down a different version of Java?

I try to run NETLAB+ from Google Chrome Version 39.0.2171.95 (64 bit)

and it does not work because Java is not detected.

This isn't something we can really follow along with without purchasing NETLAB+, and it doesn't look cheap. You might have to contact them for support, or skip past the test and see how it works.

I try to skip the test and I am asked to go back to "Remote Access Test".

This might be related to security (trusted or untrusted sites).

This problem might be solved with a different browser.

I am new to fedora or Linux.

I feel overwhelmed as a novice.

I bring up NETLAB+ and see the following.

Mozilla Firefox 3.6.15 supported

Could someone tell me how to load Firefox 3.6.15?

Do Not download Firefox 3.6.15. It's very old and insecure; installing insecure software to pass a security check is not logical. You could try Oracle Java (I'm sure there are instructions somewhere on this site for it) but you probably should be contacting the company you have purchased this very expensive product from to get support.
