Seeking Fedora-equivalent of Debian gstreamer packages

Hi All,

I'm attempting to deploy GNU MediaGoblin on Fedora 21, and need some help. MediaGoblin's video dependency list includes these software packages for a Debian-based distribution, and I was hoping that someone could help me translate them to their Fedora equivalents:

sudo apt-get install python-gi python3-gi \
    gstreamer1.0-tools \
    gir1.2-gstreamer-1.0 \
    gir1.2-gst-plugins-base-1.0 \
    gstreamer1.0-plugins-good \
    gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly \
    gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad \
    gstreamer1.0-libav \

In other words, I'm wondering what the "sudo yum install . . . " equivalents would be for the above packages.

I think the "ugly" package may be non-free, so I would understand if that package (or one of the others) isn't available via Fedora's repo's.

Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to ask.fedora. The files you need can't be provided directly by Fedora for licensing reasons, so they're "stashed" in a third-party pair of repos known as rpmfusion. Following the instructions at that link will get you both the rpmfusion free and rpmfusion nonfree repos set up, and you can get all of the gstreamer plugins and codecs you'll need.

Thanks for the reply. I assume that some variation of gstreamer1.0-plugins-good would be free software and would be distributable by Fedora, right? I do see the "bad" and "ugly" plugins on the rpmfusion site, though (thank you for that).

Also, do you have any idea about the "gir1*" packages or the python-gst packages?

yum list gstreamer\*good\* shows them coming from either the fedora or the updates repo. You can use the same command with the obvious changes to check on those other packages.
