I'm running Fedora 16

There is a folder in /home/me/.local/share/Trash/expunged/38923.../torrent/libreoffice. I'm not able to delete this folder by any means.

It says:cannot remove `libreoffice3.5-writer-3.5.1-102.x86_64.rpm': Permission denied

I tried rmdir, rm -rf, rm *.rpm, etc....

Are you logged in as root? If you are not just:

su -

Enter the root password

rm -rf FOLDER_PATH

logout

But you are not supposed to be root to work with files in your home directory and don't believe this is the right way to go. I'd have tried to see the file's permissons and owners before doing that.
