What happens when you do not install the next version of Fedora Available?

Fedora releases a new version every 6 months. Since it does not have an LTS version I was wondering about the consequences of not upgrading to the newest available version.

Welcome to ask.fedora. That's a good question and deserves a good answer. Fedora policy is to provide support and updates for the two most recent versions; right now, that's Fedora 21 and 22. A month or so after a new version is released, the older of the two supported versions reaches End Of Life, and no longer receives updates, even for security reasons. Thus, there are always two supported versions so that if you have a reason to distrust the newest release, you can safely keep the older of the two.

The repositories for a release don't get taken down right away when it reaches End Of Life, although they will eventually, and there's a board at the unofficial Fedora Forum dedicated to helping those people who are still running older forms of Fedora.

Uh thats a general guideline...22 took over a year as Im told. They really need to weed out the bugs while updating, not trying to fix them after. Linux can be in a sad state sometimes, as 22 has proven.Unfortunately as a side effect of upgrading bugs for the older release get thrown EOL closed(well they should) but more likely as WONTFIX. These bugs are not checked whether or not they exist in the new release from my understanding. And forcing bug submitters to do that work consistently and repeatedly each and every new release is asking a tad much.
