how to improve cpu performance

hello, when I start virtual machine manager or any application my cpu core give more then 75% load,because of this process become slow. i have 2GB RAM,500 GB Hard Disk, and i3 processor Intel, how can i reduce cpu utilisation.

You can reduce CPU utilization by closing programs that you aren't using. On the other hand, running a virtual machine does in fact use quite a bit CPU resources, so there isn't anything anyone can do about it. I have an intel i5, 4 gigs of RAM, and qemu-kvm works well for me.

@FranciscoD_: I'm just curious, can you work in full screen mode using qemu-kvm?

ok, it's time to set aside virtualbox and try qemu-kvm, do you know a good guide to start the configuration of a vritual machine?

I did that: I installed Fedora 17 Alpha, but it only allows me to work in 1024x768 resolution, and I have a Dell Vostro 3500 whose resolution is 1366x768
