When I try to run unetbootin as root, using sudo unetbootin, I get an empty window and errors on my command line:

[bf@bf-laptop-tbwb ~]$ sudo unetbootin
X Error: BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied) 10
  Extension: 130 (MIT-SHM)
  Minor opcode: 1 (X_ShmAttach)
  Resource id: 0x15b
X Error: BadShmSeg (invalid shared segment parameter) 128
  Extension: 130 (MIT-SHM)
  Minor opcode: 5 (X_ShmCreatePixmap)
  Resource id: 0x10c
X Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) 9
  Major opcode: 62 (X_CopyArea)
  Resource id: 0x1e00010
X Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) 9
  Major opcode: 62 (X_CopyArea)
  Resource id: 0x1e00010

I tried using gksu-polkit, but I get the same problems. How do I run an X application as root on Fedora 22?

Hello. Check this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug....

Workaround would be to run unetbootin as root in this way:

QT_X11_NO_MITSHM=1 unetbootin

It is working for me.

Good call. Ultimately, unless you can't get around using unetbootin, I'd recommend using an alternative method. Please take a look at the pertinent Fedora Wiki page.
